Thank you Tucson! Next up: Santa Clarita, Corona, and Camarillo

I'm back from the Literary Escape at Canyon Rancha very nice fitness resort, where between book events I managed to sneak away for an 8-mile hike, saw a gila monster (poisonous), had a massage, a skin treatment (yes, I indulged), and spent an afternoon at the Tucson Festival of the Book with fellow authors Nancy Horan and Luis Alberto Urrea.

Then it was off to Saddlebrook for a book luncheon and dinner at Harvest Moon (the best Chinese restaurant in Tucson, you should definitely go there).

Now it's back to writing for a week before I head to Southern California and Santa Clarita, Corona, and Camarillo.

Here's a very nice write-up in the Ventura Country Star about the March 29 event.

But the REAL highlight of the month was finally meeting this guy. My assistant, Brittany (and also step-daughter) just had a son. Or as we say around here, "Britt-Britt had a Bay-Bay!" Congrats to Britt and Matt and a huge family welcome to Dean Matthew Shipman.

(The world's most amazing baby photo by Phillip Procopio).
