Hotel on the Corner of Stage Left

Due to the recent fury of writing I've been lax in mentioning that Seattle's Book-It Repertory Theatre is presenting a unique literary stage adaptation of Hotel. The production features a cast of 26, and costuming, set design, music, and rehearsals are well under way.The world premiere is September 22nd (I'll be there!)

The run has already been extended to October 28 and tickets are on sale now.

Hi Jamie.

A common question these days with Literary types seems to be: Is the MFA the new MBA?

It seems only a few juggernaut programs are worth the time and money while less attractive others would only produce debt since some argue that Writing can't be taught.

In other words, do MFA programs foster elitism and is it really necessary these days?

I don't have an MFA. In fact my degree is in art and design. I honestly think MFAs hurt more than help, but I'm sure most MFA candidates would disagree.

Of course you'll be there! How exciting to see your characters in 3-D. I hope you love it.
