just finished it also at this moment. I started this book on the plane to china, so this added a little more to my sense of their culture. Embarassed that I had never even heard of the Japanese Internment. Hope to be able to visit the panama hotel one day. Great news to hear of authors next book almost ready!!!!

Nice to know that published and successful authors get just as thrilled as an unknown (I mean, up and coming) author when the manuscript is complete. All hail the thrill of that accomplishment. But I look forward to the day when I don't take a photo every time I print up my manuscript, believing the book is done! That would be twelve photos so far...

So what is it about, generally? the new novel. The Glory of the Mourning? Are you wandering Lakeview Cemetery and commenting on the ancient Seattle graves? 328 pages - congratulations, I have an agent waiting for 300 pages of one of my own projects about First Hill. Tell me you are not writing about that neighborhood.
