Give a little bit

The bad news: some felonious jerks broke into the local Boys & Girls Club, stole everything that wasn't nailed down (game systems, food, cash) and trashed the place. The good news: I'm sure by the time you read this, kindly folks in our community will have volunteered their time to clean and rebuild, and donations will be rolling in. I'll be delivering books, manga, and an Xbox on Wednesday.

Bad moments bring out the best in people. With that in mind, this is a great video. Enjoy. And Merry Christmas, happy holidays, peace, joy and love to you and yours.

I'm truly sorry to hear about the thefts, but you're right about how it brings out the best in people. My son works at King Soopers (a grocery store) and a customer was relating a tale of how they got rear-ended by a drunk driver. All their Christmas gifts were destroyed and even worse, a 3 year old child is right now in the hospital with his jaw broken in 3 places, only wires and the grace of God holding it together. The poor child had to spend Christmas night in the hospital. My son asked if the lady needed any money to buy Christmas gifts (which makes me so proud of him) but she told him how tons of people have already given them more than they had before - including the officer that arrived at the scene. That officer took his family out and they bought all kinds of gifts. The local city it happened in gave them a $200 visa gift card even.

The video was wonderful too. I just sat here and watched it with my boys and we enjoyed it very much. Thank you for reminding us of all the good things that happen when people think nobody is watching. Good things happen even when we aren't aware. I hope your holidays are wonderful and may you and yours stay safe.

It's always hard to hear about senseless thefts from charities & organizations, you can't help but wonder what kind of person would do something like that. On the positive note, the video you shared is really uplifting and just brightened up my entire day :) I recognized the song from the first chords - Give a Little Bit by Roger Hodgson. Such inspirational, timeless lyrics. We need more songs like those.
