The view from here

I've been in Hawaii for the past week, hence the lackadaisical blogging. It's the sun, the surf, the slack-key guitars and the not-so slack mai tais.

We've had a lovely time on Oahu and here on Kaua'i (my favorite island). But alas, today we pack up the circus tent and board the red-eye for home. It's been lovely. I'll catch up on travels and book doings soon.

Oh, and a HUGE THANKS to everyone that voted for One Book One Denver. It was close, but I'm pretty sure I lost—to a good friend, with a great book.

Ok, back to snorkeling with dolphins, who are fast, nimble, beautiful, and taste like chicken. Mmmm...Chicken of the sea.

I looked early this AM before they rearranged pages. You had 324 votes, your friend had 321... Now I can't see vote totals, so - we wait.

My sister would call me from Hawaii while she lived there. Inevitably, she was driving to the beach to dolphin watch w/ grandkids, while I watched--snow or sleet or rain.

Glad you enjoyed your time there.
