Another Hotel, now open for business

Hotel Angeline: A Novel in 36 Voices went on sale yesterday. This collaborative novel, written in front of a live audience over six days was the brainchild of the Seattle 7 Writers, with proceeds going toward literacy projects in the Pacific Northwest.

Each chapter was helmed by a differnt author, including Garth Stein, Jennie Shortridge, Erik Larsen, Stephanie Kallos, and yours truly (Chap. 32). The final product is an intriguing study in authorly voice—do check it out.

And if you're in the Seattle area, the launch party is at the Richard Hugo House @ 5:00. The party is free. Books will be for sale, and the bar will be wide open.

This is on my must-buy list. It's interesting that there are so many writers in Seattle (a fact I was unaware of). Too cold for my tastes however. I'll have to be in Seattle in spirit as I move down to Arizona in reality.

Congrats on being a part of this, Jamie. It's a really awesome thing to do.
