Book Tour: Washington D.C. Edition

This week we'll be in D.C., gawking at monuments, dinosaur bones, space capsules, and the barricades around the White House. It's surreal to watch the daily protesters, and then the protesters protesting the other protesters, and then tourists taking pictures of it all, with the Secret Service taking photos of everyone. It's all quite meta.

Of course I'll also be doing book events as well, and a presentation at the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum. If you can't make it to my presentation there's also an excellent one later in the month about the enigmatic artist, Jimmy Mirikitani. (Wish I could be there for that one).

I don't know which is cooler, the fact that you're going to be at the Smithsonion or the neat pictures of the bills and their respective buildings. Okay, your appearance is cooler, but anyway. Good luck Jamie and have fun!

I laughed very hard after seeing the photos of the monuments along side the various dollars of bills. Siily like me.

Wanted to let you know I just now finished your book, in tears of course, and how authors like yourself bring much joy to an older woman like me and those with lost loves and passions.

Looking forward to your next book my dearest boy.

God Bless you and your family.

You know how I know you didn't take those pictures? Cause you're a writer, and I've never known a writer who had $50 on them (though I'll admit you're the only NYT Best Selling author I know... so maybe it's different up there on mount olympus :D).
