Live from Seattle, it's the Panama Hotel

It’s official. We’ll be doing another book event at the Panama Hotel in Seattle on October 20th to promote the trade paperback release of Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet. The event will be hosted by Kinokuniya Books––a fantastic bookstore at Uwajimaya Village.

Last February we packed the place on a snowy night and we’re hoping for an even bigger crowd, so bring yourself or your book group and come early. I’m checking with Grace Holden (daughter of the famed jazz pianist) to see if she might sing a few jazz numbers, and if we have time I’ll also be giving a sneak preview of the new book.

Oh, and lest I forget, we’ve also added Austin to the book tour. I’ll be at the Texas Book Festival, November 1st, officially making it a 24-city tour. The only things missing are the back-up dancers and the costume changes at intermission. Mosh pit available, upon request.

I meant the 24 city part, of course, not the wonderful book.

That sounds so awesome, particularly the part about Grace Holden singing. I'm a fan of good jazz, so I can imagine how wonderful that would be. I hope everything goes well, and if there is a mosh pit, we all want pictures :)

Austin, really!? I'm so excited!!!

I'm in a book club. Maybe I can make them select HOTEL for our October selection and then we could come see you on November 1!

What wonderful news! I hope you will have time to visit the Wing LUke Asian Museum while you are in town. We just opened YELLOW TERROR: Collections and Paintings of Roger Shimomura. Great show - but I'm biased.
Our Marketplace will be selling your paperbacks too! have a great and safe trip(s).
