Exposing my alpha-geek

Yes, I'm still busy editing the new book––WHISPERS. Hopefully I'll have an update on that tomorrow.

In the meantime, I do have a fresh blog post, it just happens to be over here. It's a lil' guest yarn I wrote for BookReporter.com.

When I won the Phi Beta Kappa award for my senior honors thesis (the first half of a novel which is now "simmering" lol) they gave me a monetary prize (yay!) AND... a dictionary. I was all, Whaaa? Because they handed me that on stage, wrapped, and it was HEAVY. (The money, meanwhile, was direct deposited six weeks later. Very anticlimactic. I wanted a giant check!)

But I did appreciate the dictionary, and it was certainly fitting. Now it sits in a place of honor on the shelf in our living room...
