Packing is such sweet sorrow

Off we go again, dear friends.

This time tomorrow I’ll be back in Seattle for a pair of events, the first is at the Panama Hotel, sponsored by Kinokuniya. The other is on Wednesday, where I’ll be on a panel at Third Place Books with Garth Stein, Stephanie Kallos and others, moderated by über-librarian Nancy Pearl. (The great thing about traveling to Seattle is that it always feels like going home).

Then on Thursday, I’ll be back in Montana, albeit in Missoula for the Montana Festival of the Book. Then to Florida for the St. Petersburg Times - Festival of Reading 2009.

Another day. Another airport. Another security pat-down...

How cool! I just saw Garth at the Books by the Banks event in Cincinnati and he was great. :) I'm sure y'all will run an awesome panel.

I bet you never thought you'd be this busy jumping all over the globe when you first started this book, huh Jamie? Hmmm, or maybe you did - which would explain why it's so well written. In any event, be careful and remember to ask for extra nuts on the plane.

Looking forward to meeting Garth as well. I met Stephanie a few years ago and she was wonderful.

Eric--you're right, I had no idea there would be this much travel. I'm happy to do it, but it is still so surreal...

I must admit, I'm a bit envious of the traveling :P I've always wanted to travel the world. Still, I can imagine it can get old sometimes especially having to leave your family.

The Panama Hotel reading was incredible. As Jamie mentions on Twitter it was a big crowd, much more than anticipated.

Jamie did an excellent job being charming and entertaining. Question period was great with Oscar Holden's daughter in attendance!

Amazing and poignant to be at the Panama for it. Wonderful way to spend my birthday!

Great work Jamie!
