The glamorous life

Here's a wry bit of commentary on "The Writer's Life" by British author Roger Morris. If you have time, check out his site, especially the hauntingly beautiful cover for his crime fiction novel A Gentle Axe. Wow.

I love seeing other writer's workspaces. Thanks for sharing.

THAT is why I need a new coffee pot... I knew there was a good reason.

My workspace isn't quite as messy and I have 3 lazy dogs instead of the cat. But the vibe is the same. Though I don't have a cool British accent.

This is my workspace, books on floor, sleeping cat and all. Though I never actually considered moving the coffee pot next to the keyboard. Too funny!!

I'm waiting for my Blackberry to finish my latest manuscript. It keeps shutting down Word and then surfing the internet. Finds really interesting sites though ...

Ha! Love it. But wow, what a lazy coffeepot.

Whew. See I was actually embarassed about the state of my office, shamefully closing its door whenever company popped by.

As an aside, I too have found coffee pots to be miserable writers. I am now experimenting with a cheap, noisy, very unZen tabletop fountain from Bed Bath and Beyond. No progress as of yet though.

I've filmed a response to Roger Morris' great vid. This is the real writers' life:
