Well deserved, Jamie. Well deserved.

You had amazing competition. Like the other contenders, you aced the main issues of writing: pacing, technical elements, storytelling, etc. The glowing reality of the moment, the humor in the midst of a fight--those were the reasons you rose to the top.

Good stuff, Jamie. And I saw you finished the 3rd draft. You're way ahead of me now. Best of luck, and keep on powering.

I'm not a writer, but that story was really funny! Congrats!

Thanks ya'll. I love flash fiction. I guess it plays into my short attention span.

Daniel--Yep. The good news is I finished the 3rd draft. The bad news is it still probably needs a 4th. Not a full rewrite, just a lot of noodling here and there. I can't seem to leave it alone.

I'm a bit closer to sending it out. I wasn't planning on sending it until mid-June. After I hear back from some of these conferences, but for Squaw Valley I basically had to put together a query letter/pack anyway, so I'm ready to go.
